The Sims 4 Update Brings Casual Sex and Customizable Orientation

The update that The Sims 4 will receive on July 28 will reshape the personal life of your characters the way it’s never been done. Not only will you be free to choose which sexual orientation they have. You will also define their values in terms of sex and relationships, which can lead to almost any lifestyle one can imagine and wants to visualize in the Simverse.
The 12th expansion pack will. This way improves the representation of LGBTQ+ persons, which hasn’t received enough attention yet, the Maxis employee says. To develop the new approach, Maxis joined efforts with organizations like GLAAD and the It Gets Better Project. Both provided enough feedback both from and about the LGBTQ+ community and its representation. After the update that allowed players to freely choose between pronouns, now it’s time for a more serious shift.

As you create your character, you can define their sexual preferences at once, whether it’s men, women, or neither. There is also an opportunity to change this parameter later (which also happens in life, you know). Partners can be found around, but there is no guarantee they will agree to WooHoo with your one. After the rejection, the relations between you will become awkward.

There’s more to this expansion pack than who your character prefers to love, but also how they prefer to do it. Now you can adjust the values of your Sims, shifting them between casual sex and long-term relationships and involvements. You can even opt for an asexual Sim who will still be able to experience romantic feelings. Well, as for custom nonbinary characters to be fully introduced, there is still a lot to be done.

What do you think about this change in The Sims 4? Will you use this opportunity as soon as the expansion pack arrives? Do you think this will make Sim's life more interesting? Tell us what you think about this addition in the comments!
