Mickey's Epic Return: Unveiling the Magic of Epic Mickey: Rebrushed

Recently, the much-anticipated game Epic Mickey: Rebrushed just debuted its first gameplay trailer, building significant excitement among fans. This latest showcase was unveiled during the THQ Nordic Showcase 2024, giving an initial view of Mickey Mouse's return in an updated remake of the 2010 Nintendo Wii game. Announced earlier this year, this enhanced version brings back the beloved character equipped with a magic paint brush, paint, and thinner.

Mickey navigates various zones in the Wasteland, inspired by classic Disney stories, using his abilities to restore color to the world and alter his surroundings to reveal hidden secrets. The trailer also introduced a range of enemies players will face in this 3D platformer, including a glance at the first boss fight, The Clock Tower, set in a vast area. Mickey demonstrates several new abilities adapted from the original game, such as new movement skills like a dash, ground pound, and sprint.

Alongside Mickey's journey, players will encounter other Disney characters, including Oswald the Lucky Rabbit - Walt Disney's first creation. The game promises multiple different endings shaped by unique playstyles and decisions. THQ Nordic describes the title as a "faithful remake of the beloved classic," featuring updated graphics and various quality-of-life improvements designed to inspire creativity and a spirit of discovery as players embark on Mickey Mouse's journey.

The launch of Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is scheduled for September 23, available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Players who pre-order now can enjoy 24-hour Early Access before the official release, excluding PC and Steam. Pre-orders also come with an exclusive free costume pack inspired by classic Mickey looks, including Boat Willie, Football, and Brave Little Tailor outfits.
