Latest Google Play Services & Play Store Improvements

All of a sudden, Google started sharing announcing the details of its monthly Google Play updates. The company was updating the service silently for years, but now every user can view monthly changelogs to track the changes between the builds. Let’s take a look at the details.

What’s New?

Now you can find all the changelogs in the support section of Google Play and compare all the recent builds. Currently, the folder features changelogs only for December 2021 and January 2022 but will receive updates monthly. The latest update includes enhanced timezone management features and finally adds daylight savings time transition support for all the countries that need it.

Other changes include:

  • an option to manually edit Google Password Manager records to add website logins and passwords;
  • an option log into Android TV using your Android smartphone;
  • a discovery flow that includes quick highlights of the recent Android updates (only for features devices);
  • a bunch of new tweaks for app developers;
  • an improved agency search in the Wallet app without scrolling;
  • a better content suggestion system for Android devices, including Auto, TV, Wear OS, smartphones, and tablets.

The upcoming updates (for March) will be listed the same way in the Google Play support section at the end of the month.
